Cafe Rickshaw
Indian / Asian
Café Rickshaw is a brilliant recent addition to the culinary landscape of Wolverhampton. Opened in February 2008, it has built a reputation for some of the finest dishes in the Midlands, coupled with fantastic service and a warmth and friendliness that you won`t find in many other establishments. The key to this is the small but effective team that turn it, led by its owner, Mr. Salim Hussain, who gives all his customers a personal and friendly service. Having been a restaurateur for more than 15 years, Salim has all the experience to deliver! Having established itself as a favourite in restaurants in the UK, the balti has come a long way from its humble roots in Northern India, where it was simply a stir-fried version of traditional curries, taking its name from the wok-like dish in which its prepared. At Cafe Rickshaw, we have developed our baltis, fusing spices and ingredients from around India and Bangladesh, to offer something a little different from the norm. With the help and experience of our executive chef, we have put together an extensive menu, drawing on many different flavours to ensure our balti dishes really do stand out from the rest.
