Kishmish is a new restaurant dedicated to classic and contemporary Indian cuisine. Our aim is that the Kishmish experience provides you with a relaxing ‘Ashram` away from the busy, stressful, everyday experience of London life, in an environment which evokes the essence of sub-continental Indian culture in modern surroundings. The ethos of Kishmish restaurant is to continue the exciting tradition of innovation within Indian cuisine, to redefine conventions whilst drawing from the rich influences of the Royal Mogul Court and authentic Ghara Ka specialties, combining classic & contemporary. This is the conceptual foundation from which we have developed Kishmish Restaurant. In order to realise our ambitions we have recruited highly respected chefs, who possess the necessary creativity, passion and experience at the highest level to collaborate with us. Chef De Cuisine of Kishmish, Mashkoor Siddiqui is the former Master Indian Chef of the Everest Hotel International (5 Star) in Kathmandu , Nepal . He also served for four years at Hotel Mansing (5 Star) in Jaipur, India. Statement From Mashkoor Ahmed Siddiqui, Chef De Cuisine: “In my family, the secrets of cooking the lavish food of the Royal Mogul Court have been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. When Kishmish restaurant approached me, I was immediately struck by the elegance of their concept for a classic and contemporary Indian restaurant, and felt that it was the perfect challenge for me, having cooked previously in some of the finest Five Star hotels in Delhi , Nepal and Rajahistan. I sincerely hope that your experience of this food is pleasurable and justifies the passion I have about what I prepare. I am honoured to collaborate at Kishmish with two such committed and excellent Chefs (Naushad Alam & Nahzmul Ali), both of whom are specialists in their own fields. This was important to me when I came to Kishmish because I want to work only with those who have the highest expectations of themselves and who are committed and inspired by the challenge of exploring the rich tradition of innovation within Indian cuisine.`
