Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy and want you to understand how we use any personal information you provide us with.

When you place an order through our site we need to know your name, address and telephone number. If you wish to order using a credit or debit card, we will transfer you to a secure page (the secure link is certified by Verisign) and ask for your card number, issue number, expiry date and, where required by the issuer, the billing address. For your security we will not store your credit or debit card details and you will therefore have to re-enter this information each time you reorder. Your other details will be stored on our secure site and therefore have to be entered only once if you register. This information will be given to and used by the restaurant with which you place your order, so that your order can be processed. It will also be used to help us develop and improve our website for the benefit of all of our customers, and to keep you informed of other services that we provide which we believe you might be interested in.

We use cookies on our site only to enhance the customer experience. Cookies are small files that are sent to and stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive to track site usage as a further means of developing, improving and personalising our website. However, the only information we will collect through the use of cookies is your user name details and we will not collect any sensitive or private information in this way.

We also give you the option to provide us with various additional information. If you choose to provide us with this information we will use it to customise our service to you accordingly.

We keep your information confidential and store it in a secure server hidden behind a firewall from the outside world. Urbanbite internal procedures cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information.

We use your information only as set out in these terms and conditions and will not sell or pass on information to any third party other than the restaurant from which you wish to order food unless you have so consented save where we are under a legal obligation to do so or where Urbanbite is sold to a third party.



Registration
Registration is optional. Please make sure that the information that you supply us with is accurate so that we can process your order quickly and efficiently. If any of your details change or if you believe that your user name, password or any payment details have been disclosed, stolen or used without your permission please help us minimise any inconvenience or loss to you by sending an email to members@eatin.lastminute.com.


Contract with Restaurants and other Third Parties
Once you have placed an order on the website we will contact the restaurant to pass on the details of your order and to obtain confirmation that the restaurant is able to fulfil your order. In the event that the restaurant is unable to fulfil your order we will call you to advise you of this and to suggest an alternative restaurant that can provide a similar service. At all times we will do everything we can to call you back within 15 minutes of you placing your order. In the unlikely event that you do not hear from us within 15 minutes, please call the customer call centre. Please note that once you have placed an order that order cannot be cancelled.

When you order food on our website, we pass your order on to the restaurant on your behalf. Your contract is therefore with the restaurant, not with us, and will be subject to that restaurant's terms and conditions. If you have any comments about the service that you receive from the restaurant please send an email to feedback@eatin.lastminute.com. This will allow us to improve our service to you in the future.

We make every effort to ensure that the prices shown on our website are accurate. However, in the unlikely event that a price on the website is incorrect, neither we nor the restaurant are obliged to serve you at that price. Please note that once you have placed your order, that order cannot be cancelled unless the price for your meal given on the site is less than the actual price quoted by the restaurant.

Our website contains links to websites operated by third parties. Such links are provided for your reference and convenience, are chosen carefully and are hopefully of interest to you. The inclusion of links to such websites, however, does not on its own imply any endorsement or guarantee of the material on such websites or any association or affiliation of any nature with their operators.


Protection of intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in and relating to this website are expressly reserved. You may retrieve, display, print and store one electronic copy of the content provided for personal, non-commercial use. However you may not, without our written permission, copy, modify, adapt, reproduce or translate, distribute, transmit, reverse engineer, de-compile or dissemble any aspect of the website or "mirror" any material contained on the website on any other server.

Amendments to Website and Terms and Conditions
In order to improve the service we provide we constantly monitor our website and regularly update the content. In the event that we amend our privacy policy or any of our other terms and conditions, details of the changes will be set out on this page.

From time to time, our website will contain competitions, prize draws and other promotions organized by us as a thank you for using our service. These will be subject to additional terms and conditions that will be made available at such times.


Liability
We take great care to ensure that our website is free from infection by viruses or any other technical defect that may have undesirable properties. However we cannot accept responsibility for any direct or indirect, consequential, special or other damage howsoever resulting from your use of, access to, inability to access or reliance upon the information contained in this website or any other website connected to this website by means of a hyper-text link or otherwise. All warranties are expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.


General
Headings in these terms and conditions are for convenience only and have no legal meaning or effect. If any of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction the invalidity of that term or condition will not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions which shall remain in full force and effect. Failure by us to exercise any right or remedy under these terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.

This agreement will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Terms and conditions for Tell a Friend prize draws

1. No purchase is necessary for entry into the draws.
2. Any person who is an employee or their immediate family of Urbanbite Limited, their agents or any other person who is directly connected with this promotion will be ineligible to enter.
3. Winners will be notified by post. Details of prize winners will be available for 28 days following final draw date by sending a SAE to Urbanbite Limited at 4 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6JP, marked "Tell a Friend prize draw winners".
4. The prizes are non-negotiable and there is no other prize alternative.
5. The prize in each draw consists of £250 cash prize, which will be posted as a cheque to the address requested by the winner.
6. The closing date for the second draw is 6.00pm on 31 August 2001. Proof of transmission of e-mails will not be proof of receipt by Urbanbite Limited.
7. The draw will be made by an independent person on 2 September 2001.
8. Only one entry per e-mail address may be made.
9. No correspondence will be entered into.
10. Your personal data provided in connection with your entry to the draw will be processed by Urbanbite Limited for the purposes of administration and the making available of details of prize winners to the public. Urbanbite Limited will only use your data for the purposes of forwarding your email to your friends. Thereafter this data will not be stored or used in any way by Urbanbite The check will be sent out within 20 (twenty) working days of the date that the customer's order is fulfilled.
