Our story
Urbanbite.com (originally Orangepip.com) was started by former British Airways IT expert Ben Carmona in 1999. In 2001 Lastminute.com decided we were too tasty to ignore and snapped us up, but 7 years on Ben and a team of investors have resumed ownership.
In our earlier years we served mostly corporate clients in the City but it wasn’t long before we started to make a big impact on London households. We’re dedicated to providing a top-notch experience for all our customers: smart, reliable technology, excellent customer service and a fun, simple and quick way of ordering takeaway meals online from a wide range of quality restaurants.
We’re great mates with many well-known restaurants such as Itsu, Feng Sushi, Firezza, Bombay Palace and Noura. We also bring you the pick of the high street – London’s best independent takeaway restaurants – and our list is increasing all the time.
